May Fair

May Day is a traditional public holiday which Shalbourne celebrates with a day of festivities. Previous years have seen Morris Dancers, steam engines, music, hot-dogs, rides and great bargains at the stalls.

The 2016 May Fair will take place at the Shalbourne Sports Field, on Monday 2nd May from 12 noon to 4pm.
This year there will be a range of craft stalls, a well stocked BBQ and Cream Teas. A dog Show and plenty of games and entertainment for children, including a fancy dress competition. Shalbourne School will help provide entertainment with dancing.

The Hungerford Town Band will play throughout the afternoon.

If you are able to help with setting up the tents, marshalling the parking  or can offer any other help , please contact Lou Evans, phone 07917 058523, or have a word with Polly Cox in the Shalbourne Stores.

The 2014 May Fair took place at its new venue, the Sports Field, on Monday 5th May from 12 noon to 4pm.
